Hi, I'm Christy!
I believe every child is born with incredible potential and deserves the opportunity to become who they were created to be.
Yet too many grow up carrying labels that become part of their identity... "the child with eczema", "the one who can't concentrate", "the mentally slow one", or "the hyper one".
Sadly, we often accept these struggles as simply who our children are, partly because we don't yet appreciate or understand the extraordinary role the gut microbiome plays in our health. Our gut doesn't just digest our food, it also communicates with the brain, shapes the immune system, influences mood and behaviour, and plays a central role in overall well-being.

I believe many of these challenges are signs that the body is asking for help, not definitions of who a person is.
That belief was born from my own family's journey. I've lived it.
When my first daughter developed severe eczema as a baby, I did what most parents would do. I sought help, trusted the experts and followed every recommendation. Steroid creams would calm her skin for a while, but the eczema always returned. I was told it was genetic and that we simply had to manage it.

But something inside me couldn't stop asking, Why?
That question led me to discover the profound connection between gut health and the rest of the body. As we began changing our family's food and lifestyle through the GAPS (Gut and Psychology/Physiology Syndrome) approach, my daughter's skin gradually healed. She began to grow, thrive and enjoy life doing the things she loves.
What surprised me most was that it wasn't only her health that changed.
Our whole family changed.
We had more energy. Better sleep. Clearer thinking. Greater emotional resilience. Even my own lifelong brain fog and afternoon exhaustion began to lift.

And for me, something even deeper changed.
Looking back, I realised that many of the struggles I had carried throughout my childhood had shaped how I saw myself.
I'd accepted frequent antibiotics, dental problems, migraines, low iron and poor concentration as normal.
Those experiences shaped more than my health.
They shaped my identity.
I believed I wasn't very smart. I lacked confidence and questioned my own abilities.
Today, I wonder how much of that was a reflection of who I was?
What if it was simply a reflection of a body that wasn't functioning at its best?
That realisation changed the course of my life.
It showed me that health doesn't just reduce symptoms. It gives people the opportunity to become more fully themselves.
That is why I created Goody Guts.
Today, I help parents understand the incredible influence they have over their family's health.
As a Certified GAPS Coach, Food Matters Nutrition Coach, NLP Practitioner, and Internationally Certified Results Coach, I combine practical gut health education with compassionate coaching so parents can move beyond simply managing symptoms and instead build strong foundations for lifelong wellbeing.

Because when parents are empowered with knowledge, children don't just heal.
They grow with confidence.
They discover what they're capable of.
They become free to contribute their unique gifts to the world.
For me, that's what gut health has always been about.
If this sounds like you, I'd love to hear your story. Book a free, no-oblication Strategy Session and let's talk about where you're family is at.
